As the Editor-in-Chief of BioHealth Informatics, I am pleased to announce the launch of this new open-access journal, the official journal of the Japan Association for Medical Informatics.
BioHealth Informatics has been established to provide a trusted platform for high-quality research in medical informatics, biomedical informatics, and health informatics. The scope of our field continues to expand from life sciences and clinical medicine to public health, healthcare systems, data science, artificial intelligence, and societal implementation. Our journal aims to connect these diverse areas through interdisciplinary and data-driven research. A central mission of BioHealth Informatics is to advance the global dissemination of research and innovation across medical informatics, biomedical informatics, and health informatics. By publishing important contributions from around the world, including Japan, we aim to promote the exchange of knowledge and support the advancement of health and healthcare worldwide. We are committed to establishing a reliable and respected journal through rigorous peer review, scientific integrity, transparency, and high publication standards. Together with authors, reviewers, and readers, we aim to build a journal that will contribute meaningfully to the international scientific community.
